The LinkUSB-T is an advanced, intelligent USB 2.0 full speed interface for use with 1-Wire and iButton components. It uses superior digital and analog methods to accomplish more-reliable operation on a wide variety of network topologies. It also offers many functions that simplify network communications and some diagnostic tools as well.
This version of the LinkUSB features a micro USB port and uses a micro-USB to USB cable (sold separately), which eliminates the strain point between the LinkUSB's electronics and the USB connector. In addition, this version of the LinkUSB also features a 3-pin screw terminal in place of the RJ45 port. The 3-pin screw terminal allows the user to use a wide range of wire sizes and gives them the ability to hardwire in the LinkUSB.
The LinkUSB-T has been designed to operate reliably on long or short 1-Wire busses. It has a special analog interface designed to match impedances and slew rate controls, and smart cable pre-charge.
The same strong drivers used in the
Link45 (tested to 1,000 feet on cat 5 cable with one sensor attached), the power advantage of the USB serial bus, the integrity of injection molding and a very competive price, make the LinkUSB a major enhancement to the 1-Wire world.
Features
- Advanced 1-Wire front end based on extensive research
- 3-pin screw terminal provides output to the 1-Wire bus
- Slew controlled drivers reduce EMI and ringing
- Consistent 1-Wire waveform timing
- Support for LinkLocator
Drivers
The LinkUSB-T works out of the box with modern operating systems. The driver creates a virtual COM port on the host computer. 1-Wire and iButton applications like OneWireViewer work great with the LinkUSB-T by using the DS9097U emulation mode.
